Welcome!
SAML, the International Workshop on Software Architecture and Machine Learning (SAML) brings together researchers and practitioners working at the intersection of software architecture and modern ML techniques, including classical ML, LLMs, GenAI, and agentic AI. The workshop covers both directions of the combination, SA4ML and ML4SA.
The 6th edition, SAML 2027 will be co-located with the IEEE International Conference on Software Architecture (ICSA) 2027 in Sydney, Australia, March 8-12, 2027. The exact SAML workshop date will be announced.
The upcoming edition is organized around the theme Software Architecture Meets Agentic AI. SAML 2027 therefore especially welcomes work on architecting agentic AI systems and using agentic AI to support software architecture practice.
Theme for 2027: Software Architecture Meets Agentic AI
SAML 2027 asks what happens in both directions: how should we architect agentic AI systems, and how can agentic AI help architects design, analyze, document, evaluate, and evolve software systems?
SAML keeps its established identity while explicitly broadening its scope for the current wave of AI-enabled systems. Detailed topics, contribution types, and submission instructions are available in the Call for Papers.
